Apart from his numerous contributions to the development of his fatherland through public service, Sir Ohaa had also engaged himself in many social and humanitarian services where he impacted positively on his community, the less privileged, the Church and several organisations. His philanthropic and humanitarian dispositions are legendry and have been acknowledged by people of diverse hue, especially the beneficiaries of his benevolence.

In spite of his exalted positions, Mr. Ohaa does not discriminate, as he could be seen relaxing with the high, mighty and lowly placed individuals. In all the places he had worked, he had been very accessible, always ready to give a listening ear to numerous people who seek his attention daily.

Born on February 4, 1961 into the royal family of Chief Ohaa Owo of Obuofia in Nkanu West Local Government of Enugu state, his quest for excellence saw him emerging first in most of his academic endeavours. First, he obtained Grade 1 in his WAEC exams at A time when such feats are clear signpost for academic brilliance at the secondary school level. From there, he moved on to obtain HND in Finance (1985), PGD Accounting and Finance (1990) and MBA in Banking and Finance (1992). These educational attainments set the tone for his career trajectory that has brought him to his present enviable position.

To cap it all, he garnered the membership of some professional organisations including: Fellow National Accountant of Nigeria (FANAN) 2010, Fellow Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN) 2012, among others.

His working experience both in private and public sectors show a man who had a clear idea of where he was headed in life and consciously followed the track. His first appointment after his NYSC at the defunct Co-operative and Commerce Bank of Nigeria Ltd, in the mid 1980s, he equally worked at the Enugu State Education Commission as a Bursar (1986-1989). From there, he veered off to the private sector and took appointment with the Vanguard Industries Ltd, Enugu (Accountant, 1989-1992).

He was appointed Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Finance, Enugu State (1992-1993), Sub Treasurer (Treasury Headquarters), Office of the Accountant General of Enugu State (1993-1996), Sub Treasurer (Lands), Office of the Accountant General of Enugu State (1996-1999), and later elevated to the position of Accountant General of Enugu State (1999-2006). He became the Commissioner for Agriculture between 2006-2007.

At the end of this era, he transferred his services to the Federal Civil Service as Deputy Director (Accounts) and was posted to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity (2007-2009). From there, he moved to the Ministry of Defense as Head, Internal Audit, a position he held until 2012 when he was posted to the federal Ministry of Transportation as Director of Finance and Accounts (2012-2013). He also served in the same capacity at the Federal Ministry of Water Resources until 2015 when he was appointed a Permanent Secretary and posted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Later he was moved to the office of the Head of Service of the Federation, before his present tour of duty at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Mr. Ohaa has attended various leadership training in the U.K, USA and Duba,i which enabled him to render first-class financial and administrative services to the nation. He has passion for youth development and empowerment, as well as on rural/grassroots development through which he has impacted positively on the youths particularly in his state and community.

He is a prominent community leader, former National President, Awkunanaw Welfare Association. Until recently, he was the lay President, Methodist Church Nigeria, Agbani Dioceses. Indeed, he has been the pillar of the Diocese, contributing immensely to the development of the Church, especially in the areas of infrastructure, welfare and well-being of the Dioceses.

He is married and blessed with Children.
