Bwari leads Nigeria’s delegation to mining congress in China

The Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Hon. Abubakar Bawa Bwari is to lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 20th China Mining Congress & Expo and the 3rd Edition of the Nigeria-China Mining Road Show scheduled for the 18th – 20th October, 2018 at the Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Centre, Tianjin, China.

The China Mining Congress and Expo is one of the major events on the international mining calendar introduced to raise Chinese interest in African Mining and Energy. The conference attracts major mining players from around the world, as well as investors’ eager to invest in Africa.

The 3rd Edition of the Nigeria -China Road Show will also be held to showcase investment opportunities available in Nigeria. It will further consolidate networks in mining, micro-grid and renewable energy sectors and States and their Special Purpose Vehicles(SPV) have the opportunities to showcase their investment potentials and attract Chinese investors.

In a statement by the Ministry’s Assistant Director of Press, Rhoda Ishaku Iliya said the Nigeria-China Mining Conference, papers will be delivered in critical areas of the nation’s mining sector by the Honourable Minister, officials of the Ministry, Heads of Agencies and the Nigerian Ambassador to China.

“On the Chinese side, presentations will be made by officials of the Ministry of Land and Resources, National Development and Reform Commission, JINGSH LAW FIRM, Central Geological Exploration Fundand Qinglan Education and Mining Circle among others. This will be followed by Match Making Project Cooperation Signing Ceremony,” it said.
