Our expectations from Nigeria,Botswana Joint Commission by Mongwa

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Botswana, Ms. Tapiwa Mongwa has listed her expectations from the Nigeria,Botswana Joint Commission meeting which took place in Abuja yesterday.

Mongwa who spoke to the pressmen in Abuja during the meeting said Nigeria and Botswana enjoy a very great excellent relations.

“During this joint commission our major expectations is that we will be exchanging views on how to improve for example how we can improve our education systems. We will be looking at what Nigeria does well and we will see how that can work in Botswana and vise versa . Similarly, on the area of trade , we will be looking at how we can enhance trade between our two countries. We will be looking at where we can conclude bilateral agreements to facilitate trade and movement between out two countries .

“Botswana considers Nigeria a very strategic development partner . We continued to enjoy very great , excellent relations dating back time immemorial. Even before our independence, Nigeria has ever been our greatest supporter. We will continue to depend on the supporter of Nigeria both on the bilateral level and even in multilateral level,” she said.

“The joint commission is a very important forum for our two countries to advance collaboration in all areas of human development . In the areas of trade and investment, agriculture. Also Areas of education and energy,” she added.
