Ahead of February 2019 general polls, Barr. Uche Okwukwu, the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo worldwide has reiterated that it is only the realization of second tenure presidential ambition of President Muhammadu Buhari that will guarantee the desirous ambition of having Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in 2023.

Okwukwu who hails from Ikwerre in Rivers State dropped this hint in Owerri during an exclusive interaction with The Authority on the nation’s political activities.

According to the soft spoken Secretary General of the Igbo socio-cultural and pressure organization “I as the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo and greater percentage of the NEC members have subscribed to Igbo Presidency Agenda in 2023.

It follows therefore, that any political party in Nigeria that its thinking and purpose is to produce a president that its constitutional tenure will end in 2023, it is wise and proper that Igbos should vote for that political party because the ethnic group is desirous to hold that position in 2023.

Therefore, it beholds that if President Muhammadu Buahri Constitutional tenure will end in 2023 if voted in now, it is logical and advisable for Igbos to vote for him so that at the end of his tenure 2023 it will be an easy ride for Igbos as equity, natural justice and fairness demands. This is my candid opinion and I stand by it, I owe nobody no apology” he noted.

He pointed out that Buhari’s administration has tremendously favoured Igboland insisting that it is the present administration that gave impetus to the conception of Second Niger bridge as well as having two super Ministers in the name of HE Rt Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and Kachukwu as they head Ministries of Transport and Petroleum respectively.

The scribe noted Amaechi as an Ikwerre man and Kachukwu as an Anioma man that both men are from Igboland.

On the ongoing rift between Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Comrade Adams Oshiomole, the National Chairman of APC, he described it as normal in every political activities noting that society and democracy cannot grow except there is disagreement.

However, he Lampooned Oshiomole for allegedly fueling ember of problems between the Governor and Catholic community in the state.
