Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church under the prophetic anointing and leadership of Primate Babatunde Ayodele, held her 2018 Adult harvest aptly themed ‘Adult Harvest of Victory, Success & Multiple Achievements.’ It was also an opportunity to honour Hon. Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu, the lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo in the Lagos State House of Assembly for his excellent and quality representation. JOHN SILA reports.
The adult harvest 2018 of Inri Church held at its Headquarters on November 25, commenced with the normal church service but was however significantly unique with the presence of the Hon. Jude Idimogu.
Primate Ayodele in his usual Holy Spirit filled manner constructively drew the attention of the lawmaker to the security, power, road, employment and total infrastructural decay, not just in Ejigbo and Oke-Afa area, but Lagos as a whole. He then passed the verdict that without addressing those challenges the politicians in the area would be voted out of power.
Ayodele said “The politicians have not done well in this our area. Number one, no good road, I must be honest. If you don’t do anything about this road I will tell them not to vote in this community. Two we are having security challenge, this our area is terrorized; they rob here from time to time. We are spending our money on security, we spend half a million on security annually. What do you want to do about that? Three, we don’t have constant light, every Sunday we spend huge amount on diesel; this church brought transformer to support this community, what did you do as our representative. Lastly we are taking about employment. Again this road is not good, I see you honourable turning at that road that leads to this area; this things I see I felt so bad.”
In terms of youths that have taken to hooliganism he said “Many of the youth take tramadol, codeine, all those things that make them feel high, they are bad boys, they are in Yahoo, they are in cult, we want to change the lives of about 50 people, we rent houses for them and we empower them, these are the things the government supposed to be doing”
He named some of those empowered to include Toyose Oyebade, Paul Ibodipe, and Dafa Ibrahim, Akoni Nurudeen, among others.
In the end Ayodele stated “Hon. Idimogu has performed well in terms of humanitarian gestures, excellent and quality representation and as a detribalized politician. He called the lawmaker to come forward for an award.
“I am giving you this Award today because you listen to both tribe Yoruba and Igbo; when they call you, you attend to the people’s needs and we love you for that,” Ayodele stated.
He reassured the lawmaker of the support of the church, “We support people, look after the need of the less-privileged, we don’t believe in Gospel of money, this church will support your campaign; we know you cannot give us money, we are going to do posters for you.”
In his response, Idimogu expressed how elated he was saying “I am happy, I always respect your personality. I remember in PDP before the election, I was here and I won, today again you invited me and I know I will win. Idimogu promised to give employment to some youths as well as make case for the community in areas of power, road and security. Idimogu also donated a good amount of money to support the good work going on in the church especially as it relates to empowerment of the youth.
“The issue of light is a federal government issue, however the Governor is planning something in Lagos by 2023 Lagos will have constant light.
