Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has appealed to the electorates to re new his mandate for another four years with a view to consolidate on the gains of his first tenure.

El-rufai made the appeal at the formal launching of his re-election campaign train at the Kaduna city stadium, yesterday, where he announced that his administration has given unprecedented facelift to the State, amidst funfairs.

The Governor who presented campaign flags officially to the various candidates standing for 2019 general elections from State to national levels, charged APC faithful to ensure victory for the party to remain in power.

“We are in government, so we must ensure that we preserve peace, protect lives and property of our citizens”, he reasoned.

While insisting that both the contestants and their supporters remain peaceful, he said “We can campaign on our record because in the last three years we have done a lot by improving our schools, primary health centres, hospitals and we have built roads”.
“But we need to build on what we have started. That is why we are asking the people of Kaduna State for another four year mandate. We have worked tirelessly along with our members of the state house of assembly, our members of House of Representatives and all our commissioners and advisers to make Kaduna state a better place. We therefore need the support of the people of Kaduna State to continue in this direction

“We are ahead of the oppositions, but we will not rest on our oars. We will work hard in every constituency, local government, and senatorial district to deliver the APC from top to bottom to ensure that President Buhari is re-elected and all our candidates for office in Kaduna state are elected,” he remarked.
