…Calls for Unity among indigenes, none indigenes in the country

Igbo community in Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, an outskirt of Lagos metropolis celebrated her end of the year party on weekend, says Nigerians should live as brothers and do away with politics of bitterness among themselves.
Speaking to newsmen during the event, the Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Eze Alex, the Onyendu Ndigbo and Bobaselu of Ejigbo and Ijan land said Nigerians should live as one as believe in their country.
He said the celebration was to showcase Igbo culture and also show to the world that there is unity among the indigene and none indigene in Ejigbo land.
“As the mouthpiece of Igbo people in Ejigbo land, it is of important to me to organize this party to bring my people together, showcase our culture to our children and also enjoy with the indigenes of the community. You can see that all the Ejigbo chiefs are here with other dignitaries in Ejigbo land.”
“I love Ejigbo land, it is not easy to be giving a chieftaincy title in another man’s land but due to my achievements in this land, I was honoured with the title, the head of Igbo community in this land, I have my family here, i build house and also do my business here.”
The celebration which started as exactly 3:00pm have the All Progressives Congress (APC) LGA party chairman, Chief Fatai Abiodun Kasumu, the United Progressive Party, Lagos West senatorial candidate, Mrs. Nkem Chibogu Kenneth, council of Ejigbo chiefs among others in attendance.
In his words, the traditional Prime Minister (Onowu), Igbo community in Ejigbo land, High Chief Iwu Odinaka said the celebration was targeted at bringing the indigenes and none indigenes together.
He advised parents to teach their children Nigeria’s dialect’s at home to promote Nigeria languages.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) LGA chairman, Chief Fatai Kasumu said the Igbo community in Lagos are with the APC, saying there is cordial relationship among the Igbo indigene and the entire people of Ejigbo kingdom.
Speaking on the state of the nation, he said for the nation to continue with the already established progress, the APC chieftain called on Nigerians to vote for all the APC candidates during the forthcoming general elections in 2019.
“I advise that for Nigeria to maintain the good progress which our party has started, Nigerians should cast their votes for all the APC candidates both at the Federal and states levels during the 2019, general elections. He posited.
