The WeBelieve campaign group launched the Igbo version of the 44 reasons for the re-election of the current President of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, the 9th of January, 2019 at their head quarters in Wuse 2, Abuja. Recall they earlier launched the English version on the 4th of January.
The reason for creating this translation is to reach out to everyone and leave no stone unturned. It can be recalled that despite losing heavily in the South East during the 2015 election, President Buhari had continued to address the Igbo’s most pressing needs, which bordered mainly on infrastructural development. This includes the rehabilitation of the Onitsha-Enugu dual carriage way, which has endeared him to the igbos and they have continued to pledged their support him to run for a second term.To effectively reach out to the people, it is not enough to speak a language that they understand. You must speak to them in the language their heart speaks. Seemingly, making the need for this translation eminent.
The DG of WeBelieve, Mr Abayomi Bankole while speaking at the launch said that, “According to Dale Carnegie, “a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.” But the next sweetest sound is their native language. “He further added that to vote President is to stand for posterity. Emphasizing how he (PMB) has sanitized, glorified, and empowered the Nigeria of our dreams, and for its doggedness in the past 3 and 1/2 years.
According to other founding members of the group, the book highlights P M B’s unmatched victories in all sectors.
Giving the people reasons to say yes again to his service, commitment and honesty. Especially, in killing corruption the right way. They support because President Buhari symbolizes hope to a nation holding on by a thin piece of thread and an astounding passion that more can be done.
The 44 reasons to re-elect President Muhammadu Buhari is a carefully mined, unsung achievements of his administration in the areas of Security, Critical Infrastructure, Electricity, Economy, Agriculture, Institutional Strengthening and other growth-poles for the past three and half years, presented in a nugget format for easy understanding, available on the Community Website and various Social Media platforms to the over 191 million Nigerians and over 84 million registered voters going into the February 16th, 2019, General elections.
