With just few days to the presidential and national assembly elections, no fewer than thirteen people were reported to have been killed including the elder sister of a serving senator, Senator Kabiru Marafa.

The unknown gunmen suspected to be hired assassins, stormed the town of Ruwan bore, where the elder sister to the senator was residing and slaughtered her.

After they brutally put her out of existence, they also took her husband and a child to an unknown destination.

The attackers, after they have carried out their evil operation in the town also proceeded to other neigbouring villages all in Tsafe local government of Zamfara State, where they again succeeded in killing nine people and burnt all the villages, including the town where the sister of the senator was killed.

Eye witness account Aliyu Bawa, told our reporter that the number of those killed may even exceeded 20, “but as at now, these are the corpses we have seen, and all the remaining survivors who were sacked from their respective villages are now in Maok town to take refuge.”

The villages attacked included Tudun Wadar maigatari, Tafkin Kazai, Fegin Mahe, Makerawa and Dakoka, all in Tsafe Local Government where the senator hails from.

All efforts to talk to police relation officer of the state command, DSP Shehu Muhammad proved abortive despite several call, as he switched off his cell phone.
