Wife of the Presidential flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Jennifer Douglas- Abubakar, has charged electorares in Cross River state to vote for her husband Alh. Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming presidential elections slated for February 16, this year.
Mrs Abubakar who has been accompanying her husband in a series of campaign rally in the South-East and South South regions across the country, on Friday in Cross River state charged electorares in the state to vote out the incumbent government come February 16. Adding that the Atiku/Obi ticket is a pathway for quality representation, she further asked them to vote for their governor Ben Ayade, and all the candidates of PDP.
“Good people of Cross-River state, I want to enjoin you to vote for the Atiku/Obi ticket for quality representation. With Atiku and Obi, Nigeria will get working again, return Ayade as your governor”, she said.
On his part the PDP Presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar warned the military to stay within the confines of the constitution and not interfere or cause any disruption at the forthcoming Presidential polls.
He averered that it is the police that is saddled with the responsibility of providing security at elections and as such the military must not interfare.
He called on the military to be guided by the constitution adding that when he becomes the President he will keep to the rule of law.
He bekoned on Cross River People to ensure they not only vote, but stay back and protect their votes.
Atiku’s promised to revamp their sea ports to aid provide gainful employment to the youths and promised that his government will be transitional.
On his part the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, sternly warned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, not to rig the elections adding that all the international polls has predicted victory to Atiku Abubakar. He called on them to avoid acts that could set the nation ablaze.
Speaking at the rally the PDP campaign Director General, and Senate President, Bukola Tsaraki assured the electorates that Atiku is experienced in the private sector and will tap from his reservoir of experience to make their lives better.
Gov Ayade while describing Atiku as a man of integrity gave the assurance that his people will vote for him at the presidential polls.
