Ahead of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, a women group under the aegis of Noble Women Movement for Buhari/Osinbajo ,NWM4BO, has called on eligible electorate to come out and vote for the candidates of All Progressives Congress, APC.
The group said the call was informed by the need to consolidate on the numerous achievements recorded in infrastructural development across the country since Buhari and APC took over.
Briefing journalists in Abuja, the National President, Mrs. Mfawa Usani and National Director of Publicity for the movement, Dr. Rachael Ahmadu, said re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will provide more opportunities for better services.
Ahmadu who is also a member of Strategic Communication Committee of Buhari Campaign Organisation stated that the blockage of looted funds by the Buhari’s administration has provoked many corrupt politicians who are bent to come back to power through the backdoors.
“It is very clear to the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the February 16 presidential election because his credibility is not in doubt.”
On a purported audio clip of a supposed “nurse” of President Muhammadu Buhari telling voters that the president is sick and cannot govern for another four years, Ahmadu described the audio clip as one of carefully choreographed fake news designed to scare voters from voting for Buhari.
She explained that the Director, Strategic Communications, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Festus Keyamo has already reacted to a series of carefully choreographed fake news to be dished out to the gullible public before the elections.
According to her, Nigerians should expect more of such fake news, noting that the present health condition of President Muhammadu Buhari is far better than his health condition in 2015.
She said, “This fake news would consist of doctored videos and audio clips and fake news reports from fake news sites. But I call on Nigerians to ignore such fake news and vote re-lect Buhari and Osinbajo joint ticket.”
