The 2019 Imo state Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Hope Uzodinma, has debunked claims of congratulating the Governor-elect of the State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, saying it is a rumour spread by mischief makers.
Uzodinma made the disclosure through his Director of Media and Special Duties, Declan Emelumba, in Owerri.
According to him, the video circulating on social media portraying him congratulating Ihedioha was untrue, even as he maintained that the video was taken at a past wedding ceremony and not in recent times.
Uzodinma disclosed that already Imo APC has rejected the results of the election even as he alleged that there was wide spread irregularity during the election.
“There is no truth in the video and news trending in the social media that the governor elect, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha and the APC governorship candidate, Sen. Hope Uzodinma were celebrating the defeat of out-going governor Rochas Okorocha’s dynasty in Uzodinma’s country home shortly after the announcement of the governorship election result.”
The sitting Senator insisted that there has been no meeting between himself and Ihedioha since the quest to contest the Imo governorship election.
He however maintained that there cannot be any celebration of any sort when justice has not been served.
