…Says Buhari the only image of party
…Accuses Osinbajo, Oshiomhole, Ndoma Egba of killing party

Even at winning the February 23 presidential election and ready to form a new government, minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Uguru Usani has decried the current image of the ruling All Progressives Congress, insisting that the party has lost the values of a political party
Usani, who was reacting to allegations by APC stakeholders from Cross State that he worked against the APC at the just concluded governorship election in the State, stated that the only standing image of the APC is President Muhammadu Buhari, even as he accused the Vice President, Yomi Osinbajo and National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, of collaborating with former MD of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Ndoma Egba to destabilize the party in Cross Rovers State
“The President’s image is what keeps APC stranding as if there is a form of a party. Otherwise, by conduct, we have lost every value of the fabrication of the initial concept which brought honour to our party.”
On the allegation that he worked for the PDP, the minister said, “these allegations are not strange to me. You would cross check all I am going to say because they all stand verifiable. From 1999 to 2015, I have never had a reason to dine with the PDP. When I contested in the opposition for governorship in 2003, there was an attempt to assassinate me, I ran out of the country and returned after two years. At that material time I was to contest, I was offered to run for Senate by the PDP, but I declined. In 2012 again, I contested against PDP, offers were made to me and I declined. If you talk to Cross Riverians, they know us by character. And so, when I had a political fallow season, if I did not accept overtures from the PDP then, what will attract me now as Minister. If for 16 years I declined offers made to me by PDP, now that I am a Minister of the Federal Republic, what would I want from them? Is that if I support them, they would make me President? This is crafted blackmail, intended to decimate my reputation
“When the people who are fabricating all these fallacies are said to have the capacity to win election, the first person that said if APC must win Cross River State, Usani must contest for governorship was John Owan Enoh. But something happened, when the former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Liyel Imoke felt that it was too risky to have Usani as Governor, he told him to go and contest, so that whether it goes the way of PDP or APC, he will be in charge, he was the zonal coordinate for PDP presidential candidate.
“The minister, who accused the APC South South National Vice chairman of fabricating false allegations against him, noted that “when the new National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, came into office, they caused him to believe that I worked against him and supported former chairman, Odigie Oyegun.
“My silence for a while is because as a public office holder, I must work where rule and order prevail. I have remained quite because I do not want to violet the rules. But when those who are suppose to obey the rules now violets it freely, then anarchy prevails. That is what led the APC to what it is today.
“And here, I have the privilege of speaking out because, further silence on the falsehood in the market will suggest that I am guilty, that’s the reason I can talk to you on this issue. To suggest that I worked for the PDP can only be authenticated or verified by the indices we lay across. The National Vice Chairman South south did not win even one unit in his own ward, both at the Presidential, National Assembly and other elections in Criss Rivers State.
In the two wards in my community, PDP did not win even one unit. I won them for the APC at all categories of elections with over 4,000 votes. This they could not do in their units and wards, If I could win all these for the APC, and they failed to win in their units, not even wards, then who could we say worked for the PDP?” he queried
Also in a separate statement, the minister alleged that Senator Ndogba had boasted that he would use his relationship with the Vice President, Yomi Osinbajo, who was his school mate at the Universiy of Lagos law faculty to achive all his plots in Cross Rivers APC
“The dissolution of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board is the reality that hurts Senator Ndoma Egba, who uses the position to the advantage of his [political aspirations. All he does is to seek revenge by all means.
“It is sad that he uses his relationship with the Vice President to propagate his strength in negative forms He is vocal about his seniority to the Vice President (at the University of Lagos Law Faculty), whose confidence is absolute in him (Ndoma Egba) and available to achieve his notions,” the minister lamented.
