NNL: Dino SC boss warns ABS over Eguavoen

April 10th, 2019

Management of Nigerian Amateur League outfit, Dino Sporting Club of Abeokuta has strongly warned Abubakar Bukola Saraki Babes (ABS) FC of Ilorin against fielding striker Charles Eguavoen as the Nigeria National Football League get underway soon.

Chief Executive Officer of Dino Sporting Club, Samuel Omamofe Colombus has declared that Eguavoen has been illegally acquired by ABS and the Ilorin Club would be taking a big risk once the Edo State born player is fielded by ABS.

Columbus who is visibly angry over ABS’ illegal luring of Eguavoen to Ilorin has told the former NPFL side to come for proper dialogue and clearance, or quietly return the player to their Abeokuta Camp.

“We were shocked over the sudden disappearance of Charles Eguavoen from Dino Sporting Club Camp. We were also surprised to hear that he’s set to play for ABS in the NNL and this is most unfortunate. You cannot field a player that is not legally yours. Eguavoen is our bonafide player and we’ve his licence and other relevant documents to prove that he’s ours.

“We’ve already notified the NNL about this daylight robbery as the player is one of those we’re planning to use in the amateur league soon. ABS should not bring our football to disrepute,” yelled Omamofe Columbus on Tuesday.
