Golden Eaglets head coach Manu Garba says the aim of his team is to pick a world cup ticket at the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations billed to start in Tanzania on Sunday.
Nigeria has won the tournament twice and are looking to win their third African crown in the tiny African County.
Nigeria are placed alongside hosts Tanzania, Uganda and Angola in Group A.
“Our first aim is to qualify for the World Cup and win the competition,” Garba told reporters .
“It’s not going to be an easy task because the other seven countries have the same objective too, but we are going to give our best to ensure we come out tops at the end of the competition.”
National Stadium, Dar es Salaam will play host to the opening game of the tournament between the Eaglets and their Tanzanian counterparts.
