FG reassures Nigerians on security during and after inauguration

With less than two days away to the Presidential in­auguration, the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mo­hammed has reassured Ni­gerians that the country is safe and secured, not just for the inauguration but also af­ter.

Alhaji Mohammed gave the reassurance on Friday during an inspection of Eagle Square, venue of the Presidential inauguration in company of the secretary to the government of the fed­eration, Mr Boss Mustapha.

He said,” Nigeria is well secured before and after the election that inspecting the reversals that will get us to the inauguration.
“I can assure the country will be well secured not only this venue and I want to as­sure Nigerians the country is safe not just for the cele­brations but is safe after the celebration.”

He explained that they were also at the venue to watch the rehearsal by the Military, adding that “eve­rything is perfect for the D-day 29th of May. We have all witnessed the parade and lowering of flag and ex­change of new flag.”

Explaining further, he said, “ the whole idea is to ensure that we rectify whatever shortcomings or mistakes before the day things such as the acous­tic, the sound, this rehears­al has provided the oppor­tunity of determining who will be where and when be­cause on that day, there will be no room to make amends since it will be televised for the whole world and that is why we are here.”
