I’m leaving Nasarawa a happy, fulfilled governor, says Al-Makura

With precisely two days to the hand­ing over of govern­ment to the governor-elect, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has said his joy knows no bounds as he will be leaving the seat of power with fulfilled promises made to the people of the state.

Governor Al-Makura who performed a dual func­tion in continuation of his last lap assignments com­missioned projects and also presented a first class staff of office to the new emir of Nasarawa town of Nasarawa local government area on Saturday, pointed out that among local government ar­eas with massive projects de­velopment, Nasarawa LGA is one community that has en­joyed such.

According to him” Away from whatever misconstruc­tion and doubts, I am happy to say all the promises I made to the people of Nasarawa state are fulfilled, most es­pecially to the people of Na­sarawa town.

“I know what the peo­ple of Nasarawa had gone through for decades, in terms accessing standard medi­cal care and portable drink­ing water I’m, happy in the sense that today the peo­ple of Nasarawa are among those who have benefited from the promises I made to them, with the provision of a standard specialist hospital, a functional 3Million per day water board and 12 kilome­tres road and an e-Library in the city,” he added.

Al-Makura thanked the people for their commit­ment, dedication and the support given to him to suc­ceed in running the affairs of the state.

The event of the coro­nation was attended by top Nigerians, who include, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt gen­eral Tukur Burutia, the In­spector general of Police, Mohammed Adamu, the Minister of Justice and At­torney general of the fed­eration, Abubakar Mala­mi and his counterpart in the finance ministry, Zain­ab and traditional rulers in the country.

It would be recalled that outgoing Governor Al-Makura embarked on mas­sive projects executions and at the same time completion of constructions across the state, as penultimate week, he upgraded and installed 18 chiefs.

The AUTHORITY re­ports that the outgoing gover­nor commissioned a state-of-the-art specialist Hospital, a 3 million per day water works plant, and also presented a first class staff of office to the emir of Nasarawa Alhaji Ibra­him Usman Jibril 1.
