The 2019 Conference of Tiv Gospel Ministers has been scheduled to hold in Makurdi from August 14th to 17th at the New Covenant Christian College International, Naka Road.
Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Rev. Thomas Shikaan, made the disclosure when he led a delegation of committee members to pay a courtesy call on immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state on Media and ICT, Tahav Agerzua in Makurdi.
He stated that the major objective of the conference is to empower the ministers for what he described as greater apostolic works and church growth.
Rev Shikaan stated that the past three editions of the conference which started in 2016 featured the presentation of vital ministry materials including Thompson Chain Reference Bibles, The Shepherd Staff and God’s Generals to participants.
He pledged that a set of another ministry material will also be placed in the hands of participants during this year’s conference.
The CPC chairman said Mr Agerzua had supported the conference in the past and urged him to use his contacts in the media to create awareness and raise support for the conference.
Rev Shikaan presented an invitation letter to the erstwhile media adviser.
Mr Agerzua also gave a copy of the book, Priests Involvement in Politics: A case of Benue State, written by Very Rev Fr Moses Adasu to Rev Shikaan who dedicated the former adviser’s private office to God, at Culture Media Center.
