The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged the chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Sabo to evolve measures that will end issue of bad road network across the council.
Unit commanding officer in charge of Kuje, Solomon Igbogbo advised the chairman to ensure that road maintenance is among his key priority areas.
He made the appeal in his office while interacting with some journalists, noting that the act would in no small measure give motorists a sigh of relief while plying dilapidated portions of road in Kuje and environs.
The road safety officer solicited the support of the council’s chairman to direct commercial drivers to be using one single Park in Kuje town even as he expressed concerned over multiple Parks in the area.
Igbogbo also said that he met with the leadership of Kuje NURTW and encouraged them on the need to ask their members loading passengers in T junction and AA Rano filling station to move into Wowo central Park to conduct their business without causing traffic congestion.
The FRSC head reiterated commitment to sustain the public enlightenment campaign educating motoring public in churches and mosques to give them proper guidance on how to use the road and protect themselves while driving.
He warned motorists to stop committing route violation especially during the rainy season, adding that motorists need to cultivate the culture of driving with good tires and wafers.
The UC suggested that all motorcycle owners must be asked to register their vehicles that the act remains one of the measures to reduce the cases of insecurity in the area.
