Lalong reiterated that his rescue administration will continue to invest in education by rebuilding old schools and constructing new ones as well as training and retraining of teachers, while improving their welfare for better performance.

According to him, “When I came on board, the determination was to leave behind a legacy that is enduring and that is only possible through education.

“Since my first tenure, we have sunk in a lot of money to rescue the education sector from the sorry condition we met it and today, through the ‘Rescue Mandate’, the legacy projects I have rolled out are dominated by schools in all local government areas of the state because our administration believes that there is no better way to secure the present and future without building the human resource that is necessary for a fast changing society that is driven by science, technology and innovation”.

“This achievement makes you a genius and Plateau State shares that gift which is a pride for the nation.

“There will be a reward for the School, the teachers, and the parents”, he assured.

Responding, Movel said he was delighted to meet the governor who has done a lot to build a great state.

He promised not to disappoint the governor and his family and people of the state.

Father of 17 year old, Mr. Apollos expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for honouring their son’s achievements and offering him scholarship.
