As the final of the 3rd VCN Under-17 Football Cup holds on September 21, 2019 at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, management of the sports merchandising group is already targeting the best of grassroots football.
Over 20 football academies actually began the tussle to lift the glamorous VCN Cup but it’s now down to Dominion Hotspur of Surulere and Atico Football Academy of Ikosi Isheri for the title and accompanying prize of N200,000.00, come September 21, 2019.
CEO/MD of VCN, Chief Victor Nwaribeaku, a.k.a, Akwaugo, said the final is bound to be colourful towards inspiring the finalists to be at their best.
“At VCN Sports we do not compromise on quality and motivation. We’re number one in sports merchandising and we’ve vowed to promote and inspire budding talents to stardom. It has been our commitment to discover new Austin “Jay Jay” Okocha, Nwankwo Kanu, Victor Ikpeba, Victor Agali, Taribo West and co. We’re on course towards realising that.
“The two finalists have the trophy, gold medal and N200,000.00 cash prize to play for. The runners- up would get N100,00.00, while the winner of the 3rd place game involving Brofas FA of Ikorodu and Ademola Junior of Agege would take home the sum of N50,000.00,” said Nwaribeaku.
Meanwhile, MD of Atico Global Concepts Limited, organisers of the tournament, Prince Wale Atiba has applauded the orderliness and quality football on display in earlier games at Caleb Playground, Ikosi, Isheri ahead of the final stage at the National Stadium, Lagos.
He also believes it would be an exciting and memorable final among two authentic U-17 teams.
