…N.2m at stake
The stage is set for the final of the 3rd VCN Under 17 Football Cup holding this Friday at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
It would feature two promising sides, Dominio Hotspur of Surulere and Atiko Football Academy of Ikosi Isheri that brushed aside 18 other teams in earlier games decided before now.
Beside the golden VCN Cup and medals at stake, both teams would jostle for the accompanying N200,000 for the new champions while the sum of N100,000 would go to the runner up at Friday’s cliffhanger inside the legacy pitch of the National Stadium.
MD/CEO of VCN, Chief Victor Nwaribeaku also known as Akwa-ugo whose merchandising outfit earlier kitted teams that got to the semifinals with brand new jerseys said that the N200,000 largesse for winner and N100,000 for runner up are part of motivational packages for the finalists.
Nwaribeaku revealed that various cash prizes and kits would go to the 3rd placed winner, Most Valuable Player, Highest goal Scorer, Best Coach and Best Behaved team as picked by the technical panel of the VCN Cup.
He said, “it has always been our plan to give young footballers the right platform to display their talents. Our partners, other foreign scouts and some Ex-Nigerian football stars would be on ground to pick quality players hence we are making sure the best is available on and off the pitch come Friday.
The 3rd place game with N50,000 at stake involving Brofas Football Academy of Ikorodu and Ademola Junior FA of Agege would precede the grand finale between Hotspur and Atico Football Academy”.
Nwaribeaku concluded by commending Prince Wale Atiba, MD of Atico Global Concepts for the hitch free organization recorded since the kick off of the 3rd VCN cup some few weeks back.
