Nasarawa APC backs Gov Sule’s administration, says state Chair

Against public insinuation that has in some quotas saturated the state, that the incumbent governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule is running the government based on what is dictated by his immediate predecessor, Senator Al-Makura, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has kicked against the opinion, saying the administration of the state is on the right track and has not derailed from its manifesto.

Making the position of the party known against the insinuation, the Nasarawa state APC chairman, Honourable Philip Tatare Shokwo, said instead of dwelling on the negative insinuation, the party is hundred per cent in support of the governor and his governing style

Philip described the governor as one who is meticulous and vast cannot be said he would be dictated to by anybody.

He added that senator Al-Makura is preoccupied with national issues as senator in the Nigerian National Assembly, could not be dampening into his successor’s way of administration.

” I want to categorically tell you that it is not true the news making the rounds which predicts that because Governor Sule is yet to name his commissioners, means he was relaying upon orders from his predecessor, Senator Al-Makura.

” I will not accept this and I am here to tell you that we at the party level are in tune with the Governor and how he administers the state, as we have hundred per cent support and confident that he will make the expected difference, because he has not derailed, ” he said.

The state party chairman who was a onetime commissioner made his position known to The AUTHORITY on Monday in an exclusive interview while reacting to critics of the APC led administration under Governor Sule’s watch.

According to him those who felt that the governor is slow and is lagging behind in terms of appointment of his cabinet should note that Nasarawa state is not the only state that has not made such appointments.
Moreover ,he said it is a constitutional directive bending on any government to appoint commissioners ” Governor Sule will surely make the needed appointment of his commissioners, without the interference of the past governors, this is what we believe in, ” he added.

Honourable Philip also dust the air on issues bothering on not carrying those that contested the primaries along with the governor, according to him, wide and rich consultation by the governor has been on and stakeholders of Nasarawa state are not left out.

Whether he was satisfied with the 100 days in office of the new government, Philip reiterated that so far and as expected the governor has not disappointed the party as governor Sule has proved he is a party man that respect party manifesto, by continuing with projects started by his predecessor.

And initiated civil service reforms which is result oriented via productivity and constituting an economic development team,geared towards industrialising the state and it resources.
