NEM Insurance wins best digital brand award

NEM Insurance Plc has been honoured with the awards of Digital Insurance Brand of the Year 2018 and Most Innovative Underwriter of the Year 2018 at the just concluded Business Journal Magazine Awards 2019.

The Business Journal Second Annual Lecture and Awards which took place in Lagos recently was Chaired by the Chairman, Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr. Tope Smart while the Executive Vice-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta was the keynote speaker.

The event was also attended by other professionals and industries chieftains and stakeholders in the nation’s financial services sector.

Speaking on the award, the Managing Director of Egelon Communications Company, Publishers of Business Journal Magazine, Prince Cookey, said the screening process for the companies nominated for the award was carried out by a group of seasoned Professionals with in-depth knowledge in Insurance and Information and Communication Technology, Integrated Marketing Communication and some notable members of the Public.

Prince Cookey further reiterated that insurance companies still need to do a lot of work in terms of product development that will impact positively on the lives of the average Nigerian as insurance in the country is still viewed by many as a service for only the rich.
