Emir of Bichi urges parents to support free, compulsory education

The Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has urged parents in his Emirate and the state in general to reciprocate the government’s policy of Free and Compulsory Education by sending thier children to Schools.

He said that parents must endevour to encourage their in-school children to go to school and also enrol others within the school age.

The Emir was speaking during the presentation of take-up capital to 250 trained women on different trades by Kano North Development Forum in Bichi.

He noted that the policy of Free and compulsory education will facilitate emmensely in enabling our children to acquire education from primary to secondary schools free of charge.

“Therefore we would not take it litely with the parents who are not ready to support thier children to go to school, as we must strive to have an educated and enlightened society,” he added.

He further stated that measures are underway to trace and punish parents that refused their children to school.

While saluting the state government for it’s concern in seeing to the development of education, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero said that with sound Education a society can progress to any level of development.
