CMD boss assures of transparency in contract bid process

The Centre for Management Development (CMD) has formally opened a bid for the expression of Interest/Prequalification for Capital Project.

The Acting Director General of the Centre, Bitrus Danharbi Chinoko affirmed that due diligence would be taken into consideration in looking into the proposals submitted by the bidders.

According to him, “We want to have value for the money the government is investing in this project. We do not have a special preference for any one”.

He further assured that the Centre would conform to international best practices and would provide the necessary environment for fairness, equity, transparency and justice.

While thanking the representatives of various groups who attended the bid opening for their confidence and trust in the Centre, he enjoined them to accept the final outcome of the selection exercise as only successfully companies will be selected promising that the Centre will be transparent and fair to all.

A total of 76 companies were in attendance for the bid opening.

The bid opening was attended by various companies which include observers from Civil Society Organisations and some media organisation who supervised the exercise.
