Adamawa YSFON holds coaching clinic in Hong LGA

A total of 36 coaches drawn from all the 12 wards in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State are expected to participate in a three day coaching clinic for grassroots football coaches organised by the Adamawa State Chapter of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria ( YSFON).

The clinic which will kick off today, Saturday, 21- Monday 23, December , 2019 at the Exams Hall Government Secondary School, Hong with the theme ” Train the Trainers” is being sponsored by the President of Volleyball Federation of Nigeria, Engr. Musa Nimrod.

According to a statement by the organisers, the clinic is aimed at preparing the coaches for the forthcoming inter wards football competition slated for January, 2020 amongst all the 12 wards in Hong Local Government Area.

The statement also noted that resource persons will be led by YSFON Technical Director, Coach Abdulgafaru Agboola and they will be speaking on such topics as psychology, sports aids and principles of football , talent hunt and grassroots coaching skills while seasoned referees will be on hand to handle them on Laws of the game.

Meanwhile, chairman of Adamawa State Chapter of Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, Clement Shobore has commended the sponsor of the clinic, Engr. Musa Nimrod for deeming it fit to organise the clinic aimed at improving the technical skills of the coaches.

” We at Adamawa YSFON are happy with the sponsor for his commitment towards the development of grassroots coaches and we believe that the clinic will help in upgrading the knowledge of our coaches on the modern techniques of football as well as impact positively on the development of grassroots football not only in Hong Local Government Area but the entire Adamawa State”, he said.

Shobore appealed to other well my meaning Nigerians to emulate the sponsor and organise more of such clinics in order to help the development of the coaches.
