Police parade 30 criminals, monarch over kidnapping in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command has paraded a quantum of criminals among them a Village Head of Mangora Goma Tunga Village of Nasarawa Local Government Area, Alh Dalhatu Abubakar, for allegedly aiding and abetting kidnapping.

The police commissioner, Barrister Bola Emmanuel Longe,(CP) stated this on Friday in Lafia while parading the village head alongside other 80 suspected criminals.

According to the Commissioner, the police arrested the monarch following credible intelligence information on his involvement in kidnapping activities along Lokoja in Nasarawa/Toto axis.
“He is a notorious criminals with a long and inglorious reputation of covertly, in most clandestine manner and has been on our wanted list,” the Commissioner said.

He explained that from October 22 to December 2019 arrested 46 suspected kidnappers and 35 suspected cultists.
He said that the police also recovered nine firearms, 34 ammunition, three tricycles, two motorcycles and three vehicles within the period.

The CP noted that the success were recorded due to the support from the public and appealed that the public should sustain it in order to make the state safe.

He therefore warned criminal elements to either repent before being caught or relocate from the state as the police are more determine now to tackle them to a standstill.
