Adazi-Ani JAM BLAST: Phyno, others thrill spectators in December show

LAWRENCE NWIMO writes again that it was a night to remember for the people of Adazi-Ani as a host of artists stormed the town in an event tagged ” Adazi-Ani Jam Blast.”

The show which drew performances from super stars of the Nigeria music industry including Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known as Phyno, Slow Dog and Ruffcoin was organized as part of Christmas package to the youths and to bring people of Adazi Ani together.

The show which held at the popular Orjiakor Memorial Secondary School Field was not without the performance of reigning comedian Ogbuefi who through his rib cracking jokes made the event that lasted till dawn worthwhile.

Also on show was another popular Onitsha based comedian Onyeobodo who gave the teeming audience ceaseless laughter all through the night with his jokes that specializes on mimicking the ghetto lifestyle in Onitsha.

Youths comprising returnees, home based, home grown seized the occasion to mingle and associate with activities that has only been done once a year.
Expressing her excitement, Vivian Obi from a neighboring village, Neni, said that the show brought a lot of people including abroad based together under one umbrella.

Her words: The Adazi Ani Jam Blast Show organized by Dr. Emeka Okeke has added fun to the Christmas celebration. It provided opportunity for some people who have been friends for long but separated by distance to meet and share laughter together.

Another participant Mr. Johnson Ibe beaming with smiles said that he feels excited that the 2019 edition of Adazi Ani Jam was held in Adazi Ani reminding that if such event should be organized in other places or establishment with popular artistes as invitee, they could possibly have demanded for exorbitant charges that would deprive the masses the opportunity to enjoy themselves. He commended the organizers of the event who deemed it fit to hold such a social gathering.

Blessing Okafor said that the event made her relaxed without fear of the insecurity in the country. She praised the organizers for a job well done even as she encouraged them to continue to host the event annually because it is a huge tool for friendly living.

Meanwhile, the convener, Dr. Emeka Okeke noted that the event was originally aimed at giving the people something to cheer about. He said that so many rural dwellers are not associated with the kind of life and fun that was exhibited at the arena but have done that by bringing what should be far very close to them. He added that the event will also unite the people and even make them stronger as one family.
