Ganduje appoints seven SAs, 10 SSAs

Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Sunday, approved the appointment of seven Special Advisers and 10 Senior Special Assistants.

According to a statement by Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Abba Anwar, the appointment is, “in the continuation of consolidating his victory for the second coming to office, after 2019 gubernatorial election and fulfilment of his all-inclusive regime promise and for better governance.”

Ganduje urged all the appointees to work diligently for sound execution of government policies, programmes and projects, adding that, “it is your responsibility to show to Nigerians that, you are indeed serving a regime that excels in many human endeavours. So you have every reason to work very hard.”

He commanded those of the appointees who retained their positions, including Alhaji Bawuro, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, Ahmad Ladan and Auwal Aranposu, noting that, “you performed wonderfully well during our First Tenure in office. Your second coming on board is not only deserving and timely, but it is apt and encouraging. You did their best and assisted in our victory for the second tenure.

“It is noteworthy to fully understand how you are selected and appointed into various offices as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants, which automatically calls for commitment, deserving loyalty, openness, integrity and sincerity of purpose as public office holders,” Ganduje counsels all appointees.”

He called on them to always be good ambassadors of his administration wherever they find themselves, within and outside the state, adding that, “what is more important in our modern day technology-driven society, is to also comply with the moving world. So I urge you to make good use of modern day technology while discharging your assigned responsibilities.”

The Special Advisers include Alh. Abubakar Sahabo Bawuro, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Alh. Mamudu Madakin Gini (Buharin Dala), Commerce; Isa Yunusa Danguguwa, Labor Matters; Salihu Tanko Yakasai, Media; Habibu Sale Mailemo, Internally Generated Revenue; Tasi’u Rabi’u Fanisau, Assembly Matters; Alh. Ahmadu Haruna Zago, Food Security.

While the newly appointed Senior Special Assistants include, Ahmed Abbas Ladan, Domestic I; Auwalu Lawan Shuaibu (Aranposu), ICT; Ibrahim Abubakar Dantayo Makole, Water Supply; Habib Yahaya Hotoro, Sustainable Development Goals; Omowunmi Shona, Domestic II; Tijjani Danlami Maikwano, Youth Mobilization;Jafaru Ahmed Gwarzo, Sanitation; Zainab Yayannan D/Tofa, Women Affairs; Zulyadaini Sidi Mustapha, Rural Development; Musa Kambai Sumaila, Metropolitan.

The statement added that all appointments are with immediate effect.
