Onyeme presents two books in Awka

Two books for student teachers authored by Dr Alexander Onyeme have been presented to the public.

The books presented and launched at Royal Garden Hotel and Suites Nibo, Awka South local government area were , ” Principles and Methods of Teaching (a simplified version for student-teachers) and Teaching made easy: a handbook for early -teachers.

People from all walks of life including a delegation from Switzerland led by Rev Fr Dr Ignatius Okoli who read the citation of the author attended the book launch.

Chairman on the occasion, Mr Kanayo P Nwafor described the author as a dedicated academic who leaves nothing unturned to actualize his dreams.

Expressing his happiness to his guests , the author, Dr Alex Onyeme said the books were meant for student teachers for easy rudiments of teaching and learning.

Dr Onyeme who was a former Chairman of Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) of Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze noted that the books were his conviction that irrespective of the innovations driven by information and Communication technology in recent time , the utility of written word has not diminished.

He said the books were the first batch in the series of his creative output to be published, even as he decried self financing of books by authors.

Dr Onyeme has published over 20 papers in local and international journals.

Rev fr Prof Boniface Obiefuna reviewed principles and methods of teaching, while Barr Augusta Assimonye reviewed teaching made easy.
