ECOWAS Parliament 2020 Extraordinary Session ends in Gambia

The Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament has finally come to an end on Thursday in Banjul, the Gambian Capital, with the Speaker Moustapha Cissé-Lo expressing satisfaction with the achievements of the 4th Legislature.

This session brings an end to the 4th Legislature and as expected, the 5th Legislature should be inaugurated before the end of the first quarter of 2020 in Niamey, Niger Republic.

Two documents, namely the Evaluation Report on the Activities of the 4th Legislature and Report on the January 2020 Extraordinary Session were adopted by the Parliamentarians.

Hon. Cissé-Lo, who thanked the MP’s for their support during his tenure, appealed to them to look beyond his errors during the life span of the Legislature.

The 4th Legislature was inaugurated on the 4th of February 2016 in Abuja, Nigeria.
