The statement quoted the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Muhammad Sanusi Liman, as saying that Senator Al-Makura, who is the immediate past governor of Nasarawa state, would be honoured for his invaluable contributions to the development of the University.

“We cannot thank him (Al-Makura) enough for all that he has done for our university while he was the governor,” the VC stressed.

Prof. Liman reiterated that Senator Al-Makura has raised the bar of delivering democratic dividends to the people of Nasarawa State and the University, in particular.

Liman applauded the government and people of Nasarawa State for the hospitality and support enjoyed by the Federal University of Lafia.
