Oshiomhole denates 300 bags to IDPs in Adamawa

The National chairman of All Progressive Party ( APC), Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has donated 300 bags of parboiled rice to internally displaced persons in Adamawa state.

The donations which was made in two camps, Furore and Malkhai, which is two out of the three official IDP camps in Adamawa.

The two camps has 1540 and 1304 IDPs while a lot of other IDPs stays in the host community.

Represented by the state chairman of the party Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, Oshiomhole said the plight of the IDPs is still of great concern to them in APC adding that through APC is not in power in Adamawa but we very positive that President will soon make it possible for you to return to your homes.

The chairman noted that APC, as a party ruling at the National is aware of the conditions the IDPs are facing in the camps in Adamawa and assured them that they will go back to their homes soon.

Bilal who apologized for their in ability to visit them since APC lost power in the state promised that this kind of visit will be regular henceforth.

The state chairman, while thanking the National Chairman for this gesture, he appealed to APC and other leaders of the party from the state to come to the aid of the IDPs in Adamawa.

The Chairmen of the camps thanked APC for remembering them at this time stressing that in the last two months they have gotten any relief material for government or any NGO.

They appealed to the state chairman to use his power to take their plight to Abuja.

At Malkohai camp, the chairman gave 40 bags to both IDPs resident in the camp and the host community, the Furore camp got 40 bags while Madagali IDPs residence in Yola got 10bags and women and youths for 7 bags each.

Other IDPs that got the relief includes the physical challenge persons, IDPs from Michika, Gerie and Mubi North
