Court Ordered The Arrest of a Serving ADHA Member

A chief magistrate court sitting in Yola has ordered a warrant of arrest on the member representing Song constituency in the Adamawa state House of Assembly Hon. Simon Isa.

The Court presided over by His worship, Daniel John who gave the order said since there is evidence that the defendant was duly served in person and has no reason not to be court, stating that the law is no respecter of anybody.

He described the action of the honourable member has an a front to the court.

Hon Simon Isa was brought before the court on a criminal summons CMC/9462/2019, the summon reads that the defendant on 20/02/2014 the defendant bought a 25KVA DENYO generator at N2.490m.

The charge further reads that the defendant paid N2m and all effort to get balance failed.

An act, the charge says is tantamount to cheating contrary to Section 320 of the Penal code law of Adamawa state.

Counsel to the complainant, Chief Godwin Ehimakhoi said there is evidence that the defendant was duly served, nighter the defendant or his counsel was in court and urged the court to use his discretion .

The case was adjourned to the 13 February, 2020 for further mention
