Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the appointment of Prof Kaletapwa Farauta as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Adamawa State University Mubi.
The Governor in a statement signed by his Press Secretary Mr Humwashi Wonosikou congratulated the new Vice Chancellor on her emergence.
He urged her to bring to the job her wealth of experience and to run the institution with the vision of the present administration to make the state university one of the best in the country.
The governoing board of the University had advertised for the position of the VC late last year following the vacancy created after the former VC was removed about three years ago.
Professor Faruta had been in an acting capacity since 2018, she was the commissioner of Education under Bindow administration before her appointment as the acting VC.
She contested for the position alongside twenty five others out of which three top contenders emerged.
