Leave Good Legacy Worthy of Emulation, Clergy tells Christians

The General Overseer of Christian Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN), Rev. (Dr) David Usman has charged Christians Faithfuls in the Country to be committed to their service to God and leave a good legacy worthy of emulation.

Rev. Usman gave the charge in his sermon at the. Funeral service in honour of the Justice of the court of Appeal, Late Justice Tom Yakubu held at governor’s lodge, Ankpa local government area Kogi state.

He pointed out that heaven is the internal home of all believers stressing ” every Christian must be prepared on daily basis as no one knows when death will come”.

Rev. Usman noted that “people’s testimonials on the live of late Justice Tom Yakubu shows the importance of faithfulness, dedication to God’s service, uprightness in offices and how a christian should always live an exemplary life.”

In his remarks, the president of the court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa described Late Justice Tom Yakubu as a dogged procedure accomplishments stressing that the vacuum created by his demise could hardly be filled.

The President of the Court of Appeal who was represented by Justice of the Appeal court, Justice Stephen Jonnah Adah noted that his Lordship’s uprightness, incorruptability in his places of service, encouragement and the good legacy he left behind in the Judiciary in Nigeria has enhanced his credibility.

Also speaking, Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello described Late Justice Tom Yakubu as a complete gentleman who had distinguished himself in service to God and humanity.

The governor who was represented by his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja said “good name is better than reaches”

The immediate past Kogi state governor, Capt. Idris Wada in his remarks enjoined both lower and high Court Justices in the country to emulate the the good example of Late Justice Tom Yakubu.

He therefore prayed God to give the family, the state and Nigeria at large the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Present at the funeral service were former state governors, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, Capt. Idris Wada, Supreme court Justices, federal court of Appeal Justices, State Chief Judges, High and lower court judges.

Others were different religion organisations, Boys Brigades, Fasting Festival Ministry senator N Ugbane and thousands of Judiciary staff members.

The remains of Late Tom Yakubu was later laid to rest in his country home Enjema in Ankpa local government area, Kogi state.
