ODOGWU EMEKA ODOGWU writes that an international Evangelist, Pastor David Zoe at the weekend revealed that some disgruntled elements who do not want the success of the Professor Charles Esimone led administration at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, (Unizik) Awka were hell bent in frustrating some landmark innovations he is introducing in the University.
According to an Apostle of God, Bishop Dr David Zoe of Zoe Ministries worldwide who spoke during the programme tagged 6 days of glory at the Citadel of Fresh Rain Ministry behind Glass House , Ngige Umuogbee hall, Awka, said someone has already forged the signature of the Registrar of Unizik, Barr Philomena Okoye for fraudulent purposes including given employment to some individuals, but he reiterated that the person would be exposed in 7 days’ time.
He was emphatic that the person who forged the Registrar’s signature to remove her from office was an insider and was with the Registrar two days before his prophetic utterance, even as he gave some other instances to the Registrar who witnessed the prayer session.
The Bishop of Zoe Ministries worldwide told the congregation that people in authority needed three kinds of people to succeed, including men of influence, burden bearers and destiny connectors. He prayed for the success of Prof Esimone’s term of office in Unizik.
While buttressing some points on the spiritual investment message by Prof Esimone ,and praising Godsent Obijuru for his dedication to service and worship of God, Bishop Zoe announced that he is building a Church from the scratch that he would donate to Methodist Church in Umuahia. He added that as children of God, there is a level of money God will give you, devil will respect you.
Bishop Zoe claimed he has a cure for the Coronavirus ravaging China and some other parts of the world with a drug in esoteric language, this reporter couldn’t pronounce or write and further clarifications were not sought.
Earlier in his sermon entitled, ‘’Spiritual entitlement’’ , the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Unizik, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone enjoined Christians to have the bible as their standard in everything they do as children of God, and shun contrary opinions against the word of God no matter how popular.
Prof Esimone warned believers not to be confused with tradition when the word of God is simple and straight forward, nor stand in the way of sinners to avoid been labelled. He encouraged Christians to dare to be difference as testimonies don’t come to those who follow the crowd.
The Unizik Vice Chancellor concluded: ‘’ If you love God, invest in the Lord’s vineyard. There is no investment here on earth that will stand the test of time but that done for the Kingdom of God. Therefore, spiritual investment is something you do consciously. Give for the support of mission and expansion of Church of God’’, reminding them that God is looking for someone to stand in the gap.
Prof Esimone appealed for prayers for kidnappers, killer herdsmen, armed robbers , destiny killers and all evil doers who were held down by a stronger force, to repent and embrace Jesus Christ , for a better society; emphasizing that they needed believers to stand in the gap for them to attract the mercy of God and rescue them from the hostage of the enemy.
He lamented the scarcity of people in conversion of souls for Jesus Christ, lamenting that if no one prays for them, it would be difficult to convert them. He appealed to Christians to give their time, their treasure and talent for championing the work of Christ in the society. He warned about negative influence of music in the society today even as he praised youths he saw in the choir.
In his remarks, the Spiritual Director, Citadel of Fresh Rain Ministry Awka, Apostle Dr Godsent Ugo Obijuru described the Unizik Vice Chancellor, Prof Charles Okechukwu Esimone as not only a VC but an anointed Pastor of the word of God, even as he thanked all who made out time to participate in the weeklong programme.
The 6 days of glory programme featured presentation of 100 bags of rice to widows, gift of wrappers to women and free medical outreach to the entire members of the Church from spirited individuals.
In attendance were coordinator of the 6 days of Glory ministration with theme ‘Power in the name of Jesus’, Nnamdi Williams , as well as Ven Rex Kanu, Cathedral Administrator, Awka Diocese and Archdeacon Church of Holy Spirit, Awka, among others.
