Kano executive council approves over 60m for education, infrsatructural development

Kano state Executive Council has approved the release of N60, 032, 249.13 million to support education and infrastructural development in the state.

According to the state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba who briefed journalists on the outcome of the weekly council meeting, which held at the Council Chambers, Government House, the approvals include N34, 400, 149.13 million for immediate repairs and renovation of dilapidated structure at Giginyu Special Primary School in Nassarawa local government.

Malam Garba said the sum of N14, 068, 900.00 million has also been okayed for the payment of registration fees for the year 2018 National Examination Council (NECO) examination in respect of 1, 038 qualified candidates.

The Commissioner added that N11, 563, 200.00 million in respect of 876 prospective candidates for the year 2018 National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) examination all under the Science and Technical Schools Board (STSB) has also been approved.

He also revealed that approval has also been given for the rehabilitation of Danguguwa Dam in D/Tofa local government at the cost of N6, 928, 986.49 million.
