Kano Govt. Confiscates N18 Worth Of Expired Juice Drinks

Kano state government has confiscated expired soft drinks of different brands and detergents worth over 18 million.

According to a Statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of Kano state Ministry of Health, Ismail Garba Gwammaja, “the Government health Office, under the state Ministry of Health has confiscated expired AoAo juice, expired Bimbo detergent and other assorted drinks worth over 18 million Naira.”

The Statement added that, “briefing the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Binta Umar Bala, about the operation,
the Director Medical and Health Services of the Ministry Dr. Shehu Usman Abdullahi, on behalf of the man in charge of the Unit, Aminu Burji said, in their routine surveillance to ensure only genuine and quality products are sold in the markets and shops to protect people from contermination, they intercepted a Lory carrying an expired juice and assorted drinks within the metropolis and quickly reported the matter police for further investigation.”

The Statement further stated yat, “the department is on their toes to ensure only genuine products are consume by the innocent people in the state, the Director restated the department readiness to continue to fish out some of this unpatriotic people to book.”

“In her remarks the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Binta Umar Bala, praised the department for the bold step in carrying out this noble duties which would ultimately protect lives and properties of the innocent soul.

“She urged them to continue monitoring and checking for the purpose of better upbringing,” the Statement added.
