Corona virus : Corps members safe in Kebbi – Coordinator

With no fewer than 1,563 Batch ‘B’ 2020 Corps members at the Kebbi State NYSC Orientation camp, the State coordinator of the scheme Mustapha Mohammed, early in the week said the scheme has been in touch with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health (FMH) to ensure that lives of corps members are safe from amidst fear of Coronavirus and other diseases.

Mohammed in a telephone chat with Authority Newspaper correspondent from the orientation camp in Dakingari Orientation Camp, said he has directed the consultant managing the camp’s clinics to sensitise corps members against the virus.

“We are going to commence our sensitisation programme this week, because it has become necessary to protect the lives of our corps members” He said..

He said further that “We have registered 1,563 2020 Batch “A” Stream One corps members so far and i commended the efforts of the state government for the renovation, promising that corps members would be posted to necessary areas to serve.

The State Coordinator coordinator also appealed to the State Governor to provide the scheme with operational vehicles and to complete the male hostel for corps members, which had been the request of the management over time.
