COBID-19: Bauchi Governor quarantined because he shaked Atiku’s hands – SA (Media)

The Special Adviser (Media) to the Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Gidado has provided reasons why his boss, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed went into self-issolation.

He said his boss shook hands ND exchanged pleasantries with something of the former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, at the Lagos airport while returning from an official trip.

It should be recalled that Atiku’s son has been quarantined at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, Abuja, when he tested positive after returning from trip abroad.

In a statement by Gidado, although Governor Mohammed after preliminary medical examination did not show any sign of the disease, he was advised by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control to embark on self-issolation.

“So far, the Governor did not exhibit any sign of the disease, but based on the recommendation of the NCDC, he will remain in isolation to avoid the spread of the disease.

“Currently, the blood sample of the Governor has been taken and is undergoing clinical test. For the period of the testing, the Governor and his entourage will remain in isolation pending the outcome of the clinical results, ” he said.

Gidado added that all the scheduled appointments of the Governor has been cancelled.
