Kano Health Commissioner, 15 others discharged from Isolation Centres in Kano

The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, and 15 other patients have been discharged from the Kano State Government’s COVID-19 facilities, after testing negative to the dreaded virus.

According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, this brings the total number of discharged patients in the state to 22.

He said among the discharged patients were Prof. Abdulrazak Garba Habeeb of the Department of Medicine, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, who is also the co-chair, Kano State Task Force on COVID-19.

The Commissioner pointed out that the patients tested negative to the disease after two follow-up tests and have therefore fully recovery.

He advised the public to continue to observe the strictest personal hygiene through regular hand washing, use of face mask and to observe physical distancing.
