COVID-19: NCDC Commandant commends Enugu State Govt

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDC) , Enugu State Command, Evaristus Obodo, has extolled the Enugu State Government over the commitment towards ensuring that the state is free from the menace of coronavirus.

He made the commendation shortly after the state, through the state Ministry of Health, donated a no-hand-contact wash facility and sanitizing kits at main entry points to the New Market, also known as Aria Market, in Enugu.

Obiyo expressed joy on the efforts the Governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, had made so far in contending with the spread of the deadly disease in the state and called on corporate Organisations in the state to ignite their social responsibility instincta so as to bring to an end the spread of the pandemic, not only in the state but in the country in general.

The Commndant promised to deploy some personnel from the Disaster Management Department of the Command to assist in managing the facilities to avoid early damage.

The no-hand-contact wash facility and sanitising kits are the first of its kind in the state.

It has a foot operation levers that when matched upon, will inject water or sanitizer out depending on the one that is matched upon.
