COVID-19: Gwagwalada vigilance assures Police of help on enforcement measures

The commander of Vigilance Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Gwagwalada Area Council, Alh. Abdulmalik Danu Alkali has said that members of the group would continue to complement the police through out the period of lockdown in the council.

In a chat with newsmen in his office, Alkali noted that Vigilance have been posted to designated areas to ensure members of the public were responding to Federal Government directives on the COVID-19 pandemic.

He called on the chairman of the council Hon. Mustapha Adamu to provide logistics support to the group to enable them function well, noting that the group has been making effort to boost it membership to two thousand in Gwagwalada and environs.

The commander appealed to members of the group to be law abiding citizens at all time and avoid doing unethical things with a view to contributing their qouta in the area of protection lives and property.

Alkali noted that that he would continue to motivate other Vigilance factions in Dobi and other areas to be working under one umbrella in order to achieve their aims and objectives.
