Fintiri applauds NAF for halting spread of Covid-19 in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri , has commended the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), for its commitment in the fight to control the spread of Covid-19 by providing healthcare service delivery to residents of the state.

The governor gave the commendation at a luncheon organized by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, to mark the end of Ramadan fast with troops in Yola.

The governor said: “NAF supported the people of the state immensely in the area of security, education, sanitation as well as quality medical outreach in the state.
Fintiri, who was guest of honour at the event, was represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Prof Mexwell Gidado, thanked the NAF for their role in helping the state to convene samples of Covid-19 suspected cases to the approved testing centre in Abuja.

Earlier, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Air Force in ensuring that Nigeria and the Northeast in particular, is totally secured from the Boko Haram insurgent.

He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the needed financial support to the Force to enable it fight against insurgency and other forms of criminality in the country.

Represented by Commander, 153 Base Services Group, Commodore Mohammed Yusuf, the NAF boss said, “NAF would continue to put in its best to ensure that people of Adamawa state and the entire region remain safe.”
