Niger police invite APC chairman, EXCOs over allegation of poor financial records

Niger state police command has invited the state Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC Eng MohammedJibril Imam and his Executive members , following a petition of alleged financial misappropriation by one of the member of the state working committtee.

The Financial Secretary of the paryy in the state Mohammed Idris has written s letter to Nigrr state police commissioner alleging lsck of record for several funds recieved by the party.

Idris who listed 11 sources such money was received , daid as the finsncial secretary hr has not gotten record of the expenses and the incomes recieved by tge party over time.

He therefore stated that ” as the financial Secretary I have no record of the mentioned income” adding that ” my duties as contain in the party constitution article 14:8 has been breached”,

The Financial Secretary alleged that he was blocked from “receiving bank alert on the transaction of the party”.

Sequel to the above allegations , the police had invited the party chairman to appear friday 29th May, 2020, but the EXCO of the party after a meeting sent a delegation led by the state Secretary Barrister Mohammed Liman to the police.

It was learnt that the decision to send the delegation with some party stalwart working on reconciliation was taken after the emergency state working committee meeting held same friday.

Sources said the recent development in the party was not unconnected with the love lost between the Chairman of the party and the Governor AbubakarSani Bello.
