Man demands N9 million from new wife of Custom’s boss, Hameed Alli

*Claims the woman deceived him as ex-girlfriend

*I don’t know about this – Attah, Customs PRO

A man who is seen as aggrieved ex-boyfriend of the new bride to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Service (CG, NCS), Col. Hameed Ali, has demanded about N9 million from the wife, Zainab Abdullahi Yahaya.

The three-paged demand is contained in a “Letter of Legal Obligation for Deceit, Mischievous and Breach of Trust Relationship (sic)”, addressed to Ali’s new bride at her Hausawa GRA, Kano residence, which was sent to The AUTHORITY.

The disgruntled alleged boyfriend, Zubairu Dalhatu Malami, alleged that he has been in a relationship with Zainab (now Mrs. Ali) for over three years and had invested so much in her life, future and business when she consistently promised to marry him.

In the Demand Notice filed by Kano-based law firm, Buba Partners (Kwarshi Chambers), dated 22nd may 2020 and sighted by our reporters, Malami claimed that former Ms. Zainab picked an unnecessary fight with him few days to her marriage to the Customs boss wherein she insulted him and called him all kinds of names, leading to claims he ckaims she had collected from him both as loans, investments and tickets for trips she allegedly made.

Malami therefore demanded that Zainab should refund him the sum of N2,778,207.40 for tickets for allegedly travelling to various countries, including: the United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates ; N1,500,000; alleged loan for her investment ; N1,763,000 for “her LEFE (bride) clothings, among other financial and material demands.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Customs Service, Joseph Attah, refused to make any comment, saying he was on his way to the National Assembly with the CG, his boss, and would consult with him later.

Counsel to the aggrieved boyfriend I.I. Wangida, whose name and signature appeared on the demand notice, confirmed that he authored the letter.

About two years ago on October 29, 2018, the Customs CG’s first wife, Hajiya Hadiza Jummai Ali, died in Abuja.

Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Col. Ali (rtd) had last Saturday married a new wife at a low-key ceremony in Kano State.
