Peace Mass Transit (PMT) resumes inter state service at no additional cost on commutters

MAURICE OKAFOR writes that in compliance to the Federal government’s directive that inter state movement of commercial vehicular movement can resume across the country, observing safety rules of fifty reduction on number of passengers, the management of Peace Mass Transit company has directed all it branches to resume operations without adding extra charge on the commuters, even as they must stick to the safety rule of two passengers in each seat of the buses.

The directive emanated from the Chief executive officer of Peace Group cum Managing director of Peace Mass Transit, Evangelist Prince Maduka Onyishi, in a press statement made available to news men.

Evangelist Maduka said his decision in not increasing cost is part of his own palliative to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic adverse effect on average Nigerians ,in as much as the transport company has become his own ministry of evangelising and demonstrating a Christian way of life.

He stated, “Instructively, all PMT passenger vehicles are to carry only 50% of normal capacity, and at no extra cost to the passenger. The management of the company has also provided infrared thermometers for screening of passengers and staff and equipment for constant decontamination of depots and vehicles at points of departure and arrival”.

Evangelist Sam Maduka Onyishi stressed that resumption of critical services to kick-start the economy of families and the nation was more expedient than any immediate consideration for personal profit.
