Afolabi hails staff dedication as SIFAX honours 46 workers

Indigenous multinational, SIFAX Group, has honoured and rewarded with cash gifts 46 members of staff at its various subsidiaries during its recent annual Long Service Award.

The honour is exclusive to workers who have put in a minimum of 10 years of meritorious, consistent and outstanding service to the company in any of its subsidiaries in maritime, aviation, oil & gas, haulage & logistics, financial services and hospitality companies.

In his goodwill message to the recipients, the Group Executive Vice Chairman, SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, commended their passion, dedication and hard work in uplifting the company to its current heights.

“I must salute your courage and dedication. It means a lot to me that you have all dutifully contributed to the growth of the company in your different subsidiaries and in various capacities,” a statement by the Corporate Affairs Manager, Muyiwa Akande, cited Afolabi to say.

“I am touched because these gestures have shown to me an unrivalled level of loyalty to both the company and your jobs. Thank you for believing in the SIFAX Group dreams and contributing your quota on a daily basis to see it come to fulfilment.”

Also, the Group Managing Director, Adekunle Oyinloye, urged them to see their recognition as a call to better and higher level of service and commitment, assuring that the company would continue to provide the required support to its workforce, including remuneration, training and promotion to motivate for optimum performance.

One of the recipients has served for 20 years, two for 15 years, and 43 for 10 years. Responding on behalf of others, the General Manager, Billing and Commercial, Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited, Mr. Abayomi Obadare, hailed the company’s culture of rewarding staff.

According to him, working with SIFAX Group is an interesting experience. He further assured the management that the awards have inspired the recipients to do more.
